I have recently replaced my old studio palette that had given me many years of good service. I don’t really know how it happened but the mixing area of the old palette gradually became smaller and smaller. I thought I was quite disciplined in keeping the paint blobs near the back edge of the palette but somehow they managed to creep nearly all the way to the front. Fortunately we had an old skylight window laying about in the back garden that was perfect for the job. It’s 92cm x 50cm and made out of glass obviously. It cleans up a treat and sits on top of my butchers trolley just right.
