PUT A SOCK IN IT (1)
If you are stuck for ideas of what to draw just look down at your feet. Fair enough this only applies if you are wearing shoes. Shoes are great to draw, they are organic in form and endless in variety. Below is an image of my daughters shoe which I drew when she was four. It’s a tonal drawing which used just one coloured pencil. I was mostly concerned with capturing the various textures of the shoe. The creased leather, the fabric cushioning around the heel, the velcro fastener and the stitching. It’s drawn in an Ebony sketch book by Daler Rowney.
